Young Climate Ambassadors Workshop: Join Climate Connections Plymouth with Art & Energy to create solar-powered model houses!

You’ve heard about renewable energy and spotted solar panels on roofs and in fields, but how does it all actually work?

Join Art and Energy on Monday 2nd March at the Plymouth Energy Community (PEC) offices on Union Street to learn more through hands-on making!

🌞 Get up close to solar, is it magic or engineering?
🏠 Build and decorate your very own solar-powered illuminating model house
🔍 Sneak a peek at the electronics inside a solar garden light
🔋 Hear about the fantastic work Plymouth Energy Community are doing for a power system fit for the future.

This free workshop is open to all young people interested in nature, climate action, and making a difference in their community.

Please bring your curiosity, ideas, and passion for the planet.

Become a Young Climate Ambassador and play a part in shaping Plymouth’s future!

Open to ages 11-18, this exciting opportunity offers young people the chance to meet inspiring changemakers, build new skills and take real action on climate issues.

The group meets monthly to discuss climate-related topics, collaborate on creative projects, and engage with local organisations such as the National Marine Aquarium, Poole Farm and The Box.

Activities have included tree planting, upcycling workshops, and behind-the-scenes experiences at local environmental institutions.
