How to Bury the Giant at Challacombe Farm

Art and Energy invite you to join us at the wonderful Challacombe Farm on Dartmoor for our open event on Sunday 18th June, 1-4pm.

Challacombe Farm is Duchy of Cornwall owned and managed by Mark Owen and Naomi Oakley, they manage the farm balancing the needs of conservation, archaeology, landscape and access with the result that it is probably one of the best farms on Dartmoor to watch wildlife – particularly in the Spring and Summer when we see the return of birds who overwintered in warmer climes.

Our event offers you the chance to tour the farm and surrounding wetland meadows plus we’ll be planting bio-original sphagnum moss to help restore the important peatland habitat. Art and Energy will be delivering creative activities throughout the event including the chance to add your own moss inspired textile tuft to our new Mossy Carpet mass participation artwork.

There’s the chance for superb Dartmoor views, wildlife watching, fresh air and fun for all the family. Light refreshments will be provided.

Parking is in a nearby field and toilet facilities are available.

This free event is open to all and booking in advance is required.

With our thanks to our funder the Devon Environment Foundation
