Our Land Flows…from Peat to Pipe

Join Art and Energy and our partners for a supported learning opportunity with talks and discussions plus a few speakers for short presentations and questions ranging from farm management and leat history to more strategic headwater peatland management.

11am for refreshments and networking

11.30am - 1pm for talks, discussions and presentations.

Speakers include:

  • Bex Blades, Farmer - Trowlesworthy Warren, Dartmoor.

  • Andy Crabb, Archaeologist, Dartmoor National Park.

  • John Howell, Land manager, Lukesland, Harford Moor

  • Helen Bruce, Communications Officer, Dartmoor Preservation Association.

  • Liza Oxford, Natural Environment Principal, Building Resilience in Communities (BRIC), Plymouth City Council

  • John Hunt, Senior Farm Advisor, Westcountry Rivers Trust

This event is free of charge and aimed at everyone from rural and urban communities, including land managers, the farming community, and other interested adults.

Please note accompanying children are welcome but the event is not aimed at them.

Numbers are limited. Please book your free place.

There will be a chance to see our In Moss and Moor film in the 360 dome at 1pm. We will also be running a public workshop and information sharing session on Wednesday 19th August, 2-3pm
