Art and Energy’s Naomi will be sharing our learning and experiences from Peat-Fest South-West at the IUCN UK Peatland Programme Conference 2026.

We’ll be joined by Rachael Milliner from RE-PEAT, our lead partner on Peat-Fest South-West.

Together Naomi and Rachael will share our love of peatlands and successes and experience of Peat-Fest South West, a region-wide celebration raising awareness of peatland heritage through youth-focused events, intergenerational skills exchange, creative activities, and digital storytelling.

—————

The IUCN UK Peatland Programme’s annual conference bring the peatland community together to share knowledge, enthusiasm and experience and seek solutions to the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.

The conference brings together everyone with an interest in these unique and important habitats, from land managers, policy makers and businesses to restoration practitioners, creatives and scientists from the UK and beyond.

The theme of the 2026 conference is ‘Peatlands Under Pressure’ and will explore the challenges peatlands face from development, intensive land management and a changing climate, as well as the opportunities presented by scaling up nature-based solutions to environmental pressures.
