Our Peat-Fest South-West celebration event saw young people from across the region travel to Plymouth to join in with peat themed exhibitions, stories, songs, music and dancing.
We first met Artie at Upton Heath with the Dorset Peat Partnership, we were delighted she shared her experience of the Peat-Fest South-West celebration event at Market Hall in Plymouth via her LinkedIn profile.
“Gave my climate anxiety an afternoon off and let art, storytelling, rap (!), songs, film, and dance fill that space instead, yesterday at The Art and Energy Collective’s & RE-PEAT’s final Peat-Fest South West and How to Bury the Giant exhibition.
Really beautiful, fun, and collaborative afternoon at Plymouth Market Hall exploring all the artwork and learning about community initiatives across the South West.
Thanks so much for the invite; I came away feeing so inspired with a bunch of ideas, including a renewed resolution to get better at moss ID, and making a scrapbook journal, like the one pictured below, to help work through eco-anxiety!
Looking forward to seeing the peat manifesto that comes from this project!”
