Craft Festival creativity with The Mossy Carpet

The Art and Energy team thoroughly enjoyed three fantastic days in the Craft Lab at Craft Festival Bovey Tracey last week. We took along The Mossy Carpet for a free hands on creative workshop for school children and families and were delighted with just how many moss inspired pompoms were made over the course of the three days. We met so many people and had so many fantastic conversations about mosses and taking tiny actions for a brighter greener future.

Visitors of all ages enjoyed our mossy display, taking time to study mosses under a magnifying glass and hand lens and then using their observations to make woolly pompoms to add to the artwork.

Special thanks to Ilona, Angelique and Eumie who joined us for all three days of the Festival, these three young ladies had travelled all the way from France to volunteer for the event and worked tirelessly to support us and The Mossy Carpet.

We were joined for Craft Festival by our own team of volunteers, thank you to all of them for spending their day with us and inspiring a love of mosses and The Mossy Carpet.
