RE-PEAT’s vision IS an interconnected world in which all peatland dwellers are supported culturally and ecologically.
RE-PEAT are a group of enthusiastic peat-ple across Europe engaged in creative advocacy for peatlands. Their diverse backgrounds span art, science, and activism, united by a shared love for peatlands and a commitment to protecting them. Since RE-PEAT began as a small group in 2020, they've grown into a group of about 20 members.
As part of Peat-Fest South-West, RE-PEAT will host 10 workshops for young people (aged 14 -25 years) in five locations to develop ideas for celebration and educational events. The workshops will connect them with peatland knowledge, skills and opportunities from their older (and younger) peers who are helping to manage peatland habitats.
RE-PEAT will support young people to play their part in the events, and make them immersive and exciting.
Finishing off, we hope that all the youngsters will help create a manifesto for the peatlands across the South-West.
If you are a young person (aged 14 - 25 years) or work with a group of young people and you’d like to get involved then please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you and we’ll put you in touch with Rachael from RE-PEAT who is leading the workshops for Peat-Fest South-West
