How to Bury the Giant – A Retrospective from Art and Energy, The Mossy Carpet Grand Finale, and a celebration of our peatland connections with Peat-Fest South-West.

Art and Energy invite you to join us for our upcoming retrospective at Market Hall, Plymouth from Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd November 2025.

How to Bury the Giant is a celebration of everything the Art and Energy Collective has grown – from our beginnings, through the Mossy Carpet, to Peat-Fest South-West and creative restoration projects. 

Join us to experience:

  • All 75+ metres of The Mossy Carpet

  • Celebrate Peat-Fest South-West

  • Our interactive solar artworks and installations

  • Experience In Moss and Moor with audio tapestry in the 360 dome

  • Join in with our Moths to a Flame interaction in the 360 dome

  • Posters from our partners

  • Treat yourself to an artwork available in our pop up shop

Monday 17th November

Open from 12noon - 5pm, drop in any time, no need to book.

Tuesday 18th November

Open from 10am - 5pm, drop in any time, no need to book.

5 - 8pm, Private View of the exhibition with speeches and performances - booking essential


Wednesday 19th November

1 - 3pm - Our Peatland Connections – a celebration of Peat-Fest South-West. Come along to listen to bog stories, readings and performances that have bubbled up from young people exploring the peatlands of the Southwest region.  Hear more of their heritage and the beginnings of a young persons manifesto - making a declaration for their future.  Booking preferred but you can drop in on the day, further information and booking link
